Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Indiana General Assembly has now reached the half-way point in this year’s session. It is estimated that seventy percent (70%) of the bills filed have failed to make it out of their house of origin and are now officially dead. I have removed all dead bills from Legislative Report #4, 2020, attached.
Next week the vetting process for bills that survived the first half of the session will begin in the second chamber. We will continue our efforts to shepherd bills favorable to our members and oppose bills that are harmful.
Please closely review the bills that are still moving through the process. Remember, bills previously included in the Legislative Report that are no longer found have died and have been removed.
Please contact President Bill Owensby, Ed Merchant or me if you have any questions regarding Legislative Report #4, 2020 or the legislative process in general.
Fraternally,
Leo, General Counsel
