Brothers, Sisters and Supporters of Public Safety,

The primary election will be held this Tuesday, May 7th.  At the F.O.P. General Lodge meeting in April the body unanimously voted to endorse Missy Mosby for re-election for 2nd Ward City Council.  This was no small undertaking as the F.O.P. rarely makes an endorsement in primary elections.  Missy has been a staunch supporter of public safety during her time on the Council and has been one of our go-to people when the F.O.P. needs it’s voice heard on the Council.  Most recently Missy lead the charge to get the Public Safety L.O.I.T. passed, which lead to more money for public service employees and equipment.  She was also instrumental in getting a change in our Merit Board Commissioners.  Both of these pro-public safety actions have been labeled as racist by her opponent’s campaign.  Missy’s opponent is originally from the East Coast and moved to Evansville 3 years ago after losing an election for mayor in Illinois.  Missy was born and raised in Evansville and knows the needs of its citizens.

Primary elections are not won by the best person for the job.  If they were Missy would be the winner by a long shot.  Primaries are won by who gets the vote out.  Don’t assume that Missy will win just because she’s the best candidate, help Missy win by getting out and voting on May 7th.

    Sincerely,

    DJ Thompson
