On May 01, 2018, the Fraternal Order of Police, Evansville Lodge #73 will begin accepting applications for the Annual Scholarship Award Program. The Evansville F.O.P. has been awarding scholarships to college students pursuing studies and careers in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice fields for several years. Since then the Evansville F.O.P. has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships. The Annual Scholarship Award Program is just one of many activities and functions that the Evansville F.O.P. participates in throughout the year to stay involved and active in the community its members serve.
Completed scholarship applications must be postmarked by June 01, 2018. The F.O.P. Scholarship Committee will then score the scholarship applications. The scholarships will be awarded to the winners at the Evansville F.O.P. Lodge #73 meeting on July 18, 2018.
Scholarship applications are available at:
- The Fraternal Order of Police Evansville Lodge # 73 located at 801 Court Street.
- The Evansville Police Department Records Section located at Police Headquarters in the Civic Center Complex.

Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be enrolled as a full or part-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
2. Must be pursuing studies related to Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice.
- Must be a resident of one of the following counties in Indiana: Vanderburgh, Gibson, Posey, Knox or Warrick.
- Must be attending the University of Southern Indiana, Ivy Tech, The University of Evansville or state recognized university.
Selection Criteria
1. Completed application.
2. Letter from applicant.
3. Educational history.
Application Procedure
1. Complete attached application.
2. Submit a letter describing your educational and career goals. Include a brief personal history and a
summary of why you wish to pursue a career in Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice.
3. Submit a current official transcript from your college or university. First year students are required to include official high school transcript and proof of qualifying registration for upcoming semester.
Selection Procedure
- Applications must be postmarked by June 01, 2018.
- Send application package to: FOP Scholarship Committee, 801 Court Street, Evansville, IN 47708. Attn: Scholarship Committee
- The F.O.P. Scholarship Committee will score all applications.
- Recommendations will be forwarded to the F.O.P. Executive Board for final selections.
- Scholarships will be awarded on July 18, 2018 at the FOP Meeting.
